Process

Task: Rework the website for an area social services organization of our choice. This was practice for a class project at MATC.

Pitch: The St. Vincent DePaul Lake Mills Food Pantry offers a pantry and clothing drive. Upon initial research, I found that their site is ok but lacks clear hierarchy. The photo is nice but that is really all that is drawing visual interest. That and the background, which is more distracting than it is telling to the org’s mission.

Results: I created a one page site for the pantry exclusively by way coding with HTML/CSS. I very much enjoy working on projects for people that I know are giving back to the community. That pushed me to figure out some issues I was having with layering. Ultimately, I believe my version is a huge upgrade to their existing page.
